 | Marrimbuzz with KEVIN BOBO 07th June 2007 8.01pm YMS Auditorium Performing
for the first time in Singapore, Kevin Bobo brings with him an
eclectic collection of solo marimba works. Hailed as one of the top
marimba players in the USA, Kevin will present a selection of music,
of which the highlights will undoubtedly be his original compositions Gordon’s
Bicycle, Dreams and The
Marriage of The
Lamb. Also included are Rimsky-Korsakov’s Flight of
the
Bumble Bee and Gordon Stout’s Rumble Strips,
among
others.
Kevin
is currently the Assistant Professor of Percussion at The University
of Kansas and performs extensively throughout
the USA at solo recitals, concertos and clinics at major universities
and percussion festivals. He is a Malletech clinician/recitalist and
a Zildjian Educational Endorser, performing exclusively on (KP3)
Malletech Marimbas, Malletech Mallets, and Zildjian Cymbals.

GGXX is a percussion group made up of 11 young and enthusiastic
students from Raffles Junior College. Brought together by their
underlying passion for percussion music, GGXX seeks to share the joy
and excitement of music with audiences through their performance. The
group plays both Chinese and Western percussion and hopes to introduce
different genres of percussion that many have never experience.

FAISER FLOREZ QUIROZ
Faiser Florez hails from cartagena, Colombia. An outstanding
percussionist, he has performed and toured Central America countries
with both regional and international bands and has a considerable
amount of studio work to his name.he has also performed at the Mosaic
International jazz festival, and has toured with latin Grammy Award
winner, flautist Nestor Torres. Faiser Florez has been a special guest
player at South Bridge and Harry's in SingaporeWorkshop |
